Garden Route VIP Tour (4 days)
Day One
Leaving the bustle of the city behind, this tour takes you via several interesting towns along Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. Several wine estates and farm stalls along the way. The day ends in Oudtshoorn with an overnight stay at the Protea Hotel.
Day Two
After breakfast, explore the world-famous Cango Caves and then it's off to the Cango Wildlife Ranch - see cheetah, lion, crocodile and other wildlife species.
Before heading for Knysna, a stop-off at an Ostrich farm with tour and lunch included. Enjoy the drive through an indigenous South African Forest. The day ends with an overnight stay at the Knysna Quays Hotel.
Day Three
Take a boat trip to the Featherbed Nature reserve (includes lunch).
The tour then proceeds along the N2 and via the Wilderness, where the 3rd night is spent at the Protea Hotel in Mossel Bay.
Day Four
Mossel Bay is steeped in history. Spend a few hours exploring the many places of interest; i.e. the Post Office Tree, the Dias Museum, Shell Museum and Cultural History Museum.
Mossel Bay boasts 24km of white sandy beaches and the only North-facing beach in South Africa. You may be fortunate to see whales and dolphins frolicking in the bay.
The return journey is along the N2 where the last stage of the tour takes you through the Elgin district as you pass orchards and pine forests heading towards Cape Town. From the top of Sir Lowry's Pass you can enjoy the fabulous view of the False Bay coastline as you gradually descend towards the final leg of the tour.
